Hairstyle Trends for Spring & Summer 2017

http://www.beautytipsonline.com/hair_trends_summer.htm

So what’s gonna be hot for hair when the weather turns warmer? The new hairstyle trends for spring and summer, 2009, characterize a variety of styles that will flatter hair of any length, whether it’s short, long or in-between.

There’s something for everyone! Looking for change? Get a haircut that allows you to wear a practical style for daytime and a more flirty look for the evening hours.

Long Hairstyles

Wavy, textured hair brings a tousled, feminine look. If your hair is long and thick, this is easy to achieve because textured and shaped hair allows you more control with your hair style. Simply wash your hair, add some mousse and blow dry your hair on low. Use a curling iron and finger-comb the layers. For piecey chunks, apply styling wax on the ends to separate.

For a simple, sleek and smooth look, straight hair can look great on almost anyone, reflecting light and enhancing shine. If you have natural waves, you don’t need to blow-dry. Simply use a flat iron to straighten it out section by section after you let it air dry. Set the style with hair spray and stay away from rain or heavy humidity.

Short Hair

Want less fuss with a short hairstyle? Ask your stylist for heavy layers to add dimension, fullness, and bounce. Boyish, yet feminine, this is the easiest cut to wash and style. If you prefer more than a basic bob, look for an asymmetrical cut to update your look and keep you on the edge.

Ringlets that are too tight look old-fashioned and Victorian. Keep your short curls loose and natural. Finger comb and tousle your tresses when slightly wet for a true romantic look. Face-framing layers will help make a basic hairstyle more versatile and add much needed movement.

Whatever your hair length, this year’s parts are leaning towards the center. What looks best on you may depend on the shape of your head, if you have bangs, and if they will also part to reveal a portion of your forehead. If you prefer a side part, forgo the center and wear it where you wish. Not every trend looks good on everyone.

Bangs

The current trend for bangs is soft and side-swept, exposing only part of your forehead. To look anything but ordinary, opt for angled bangs to accentuate your unique style. Whilst bangs require more frequent maintenance, they’re great for covering up a long forehead, flaws, or lines.

Ponytails are back in a big way. With their practicality, getting ready for a casual or formal event is a snap. Soft waves add sensuality to a basic ponytail. For any texture of hair, set high or low, what’s classic is now trendy. Try combing your hair back with your fingers for a slightly imperfect, messed-up hairdo.

Color & Highlights Trends

Sexy, feminine highlights are always in style. Chunky highlights give way to subtle. Spring brings popular multi-tone highlights and lowlights for several shades of color that adds dimension and reflects the light. A great haircut combined with delicate highlights ensure that you will look classy at special events and in pictures. Trendy and stylish, this summer promises to bring some of the most exciting hairstyles we’ve seen in years. What better time is there to update your tresses?

Wig-O-Mania will strive continuously to ensure our Customers do not buy because they are being marketed to or sold to, instead they buy because we will help them realize the merits of owning what we offer.

With the help and support of UK Trade & Investment – London and Mumbai office, Wig-O-Mania has conducted a comprehensive market research into the Hair and Wigs Industry in the region with a special focus on Mumbai & Delhi. There are two broad segments of the market that its products can be of value – namely Fashion and Necessity Wearers.

It has realised that the most urgent and alarmingly neglected segment are the Necessity Wearers. These include but not limited to those girls and ladies within the age bracket of 15 to 60 who suffer from Hair Loss. Needless to say that Hair on the head is considered a lady’s ‘crown & glory’ and hence for whatever reason if they begin to lose it, the psychological effect it has on her self-esteem and confidence is beyond words. The most common cause of Hair Loss is Alopecia and temporary loss of hair due to Cancer treatment – Chemo Therapy.

Wig-O-Mania’s Wigs are specially designed to cater to the Indian Market with special emphasis on the Necessary Wearers. The focus is presently on those girls and ladies who undergo Chemo Treatment and are told that among the many side effects it will have, one would be an immediate hair loss. Our Products also cater to ladies who are tormented by hair thinning or Alopecia resulting in patches of baldness on the head. Our Synthetic Wigs are made from the high end fibre which not only looks but also feels like natural hair. We also promote a special type of fibre that is as versatile as Human Hair and hence one can curl, straighten and style it too up to 180 degrees heat. Its maintenance is simply and easy and they can be washed and cleansed too with a normal shampoo. Wigs are now easy and comfortable to wear as they come with a Velcro band, which helps to secure it on one’s head. Hence the age-old fear that it would blow away remains only a myth.

Wearing a Wig-O-Mania Branded Wig is almost like cosmetic surgery for your hair without the pain or the cost.

The stigma has disappeared in the West – UK, Europe, USA about wearing a wig. Wigs were once so obvious that they would be noticed a mile away and hence people were embarrassed. Today with the latest technique and near human hair type look and feel of the fibre used, a person could be stood right next to you and could even be touching your hair and they would not know.

Wig-O-Mania have in its team professionals that have the knowledge and expertise of over 4 decades to answer to all questions that may arise in one’s mind pertaining to Wigs and Hair Pieces. It has realized that people with Cancer are more traumatized by the loss of their hair than being told they have cancer. One of the first questions anyone asks the doctor when they are told about having to undergo Chemo therapy is “will I lose my hair?” The answer in most cases is ‘Yes’ unfortunately.

In UK and Europe, these ladies will seek out a wig before they loose their hair so when the dreaded day comes they can begin wearing their wig and this avoids them having to go through the embarrassment of being seen without their hair. In India such a facility has not been available until now and therefore Wig-O-Mania is now embarked on assisting a handful of companies to offer it directly to the end user.

Wig-O-Mania also proposes to provide a Q&A facility via emails to its HO in United Kingdom where the same will be answered by its panel of experts and could advice on anything pertaining to Hair Pieces.

Wig-O-Mania Product Profile:

Wig-O-Mania’s Synthetic wigs and hairpieces are made with a highly superior Japanese Kanekalon fibre that not only looks like natural European hair but also feels like natural European hair. They come in beautiful colours that never fade. This is a very versatile fibre that retains its shape after washing – as long as one follows the After-Care Instructions that come with the product. Also the fine texture of the fibre makes it a desirable choice for simulating the texture of human hair.

Recently, WOM has introduced the High-Heat Fibre with better features that make the fibre feel “just like human hair” with certain inbuilt characteristics such as being able to use high heat up to 180 degrees. Hence one can curl or tong them and then straighten them again. One can therefore use heated rollers, curling/straightening irons and hair dryers on these products. These have passed tests by our team of experts in the UK. Needless to say all our Fibre is Monocrylic Flame Retardant and Non Flammable.

Human Hair Wigs: These are considered the High End Hair Pieces due to the Remy Human Hair being used. These are more often used by ladies who have a long-term purpose of using a wig. It could well be for fashion or a permanent hair problem too.

Hair braids ruling branded ‘racism’

BIRMINGHAM mental health bosses have been accused of “institutionalised racism” over a new policy warning nurses that braiding their hair is a danger at work.

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust bosses introduced the new work policy this year, specifically citing hair braids and extensions as a “personal safety risk”.

A row has broken out over the hair style, which is commonly worn in African Caribbean communities.

The Mental Health Trust today confirmed the new work wear policy with the warning on braids came into force in January, but said it did not require braids to be taken out.

But Bini Brown, chairman of Hands-worth’s African Caribbean Self-Help Organisation, today said the new policy was breaching human rights.

“I have never heard of a policy like this in my life,” said Mr Brown.n”Claiming braids are a risk is madness and the mental health directors must be mental for coming up with a policy like this. This is tantamount to institution-alised racism.”

NHS workers at the trust’s centres, including Reaside, in Rubery and Queen Elizabeth Psychiatric Centre, Edgbaston, were sent notices warning against the hair style.

Ros Alstead, the Mental Health Trust’s director of nursing, said: “This policy does not require staff to remove hair braids. Long hair, whether braided or not, should be tied back or up during a clinical procedure or when preparing food for safety and hygIiene reasons.

One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big advice on the door on which it was written:
“Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym”.

In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know who was that man who hindered the growth of his colleagues and the company itself.

The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room.

The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up. Everyone thought: “Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!”.

One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul.

There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself.

There was also a sign next to the mirror that said:

“There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: it is YOU.
You are the only person who can revolutionize your life.
You are the only person who can influence your happiness,
your realization and your success.
You are the only person who can help yourself.

Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes. The world is like a mirror: it gives back to anyone the reflection of the thoughts in which one has strongly believed.

The world and your reality are like mirrors laying in a coffin, which show to any individual the death of his divine capability to imagine and create his happiness and his success.

It’s the way you face Life that makes the difference!!!

Don’t ignore that painless lump

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Dont-ignore-that-painless-lump/articleshow/10448534.cms

A lump on her underarm had been bothering interior designer Sonia Singh (47) for months, and though painless, it was growing in size. Finally, she decided to visit Dr Pankaj Garg at Fortis Hospital , Chandigarh. A clinical examination, imaging and needle test confirmed that she was suffering from advanced breast cancer. “I asked her why she came to us so late when the lump has been around for months?” Garg asked. To which she had replied, “It was painless, so I didn’t think it was harmful.”

Garg who conducted a study of over 1,000 women in Chandigarh to understand their perception of breast cancer found that over 82% didn’t know that early breast cancer was painless. “Most think that a painless lump in the breast is harmless. Women should report all types of lumps to their doctors; this will help in early diagnosis and possibly even a cure,” he said. Garg’s study found that over 80% patients didn’t think that a lump in the armpit was a sign of early cancer. Over one-third thought that breast pain was an important symptom. The misconception is prevalent in India, and is evident in the fact that 70% of breast cancer cases are detected late as compared to developed nations, where late detection is 20%. Dr Siddharth Sahni, HoD of breast cancer surgery at BLK Super Speciality Hospital says breast cancer, if detected in Stage 1, has a nearly 98% cure rate. “A lot depends on the type of tumour. The average size of a breast cancer tumour in London is 1.1cm, but in New Delhi it is 3.9cm. Here we deal with tumours in Stage 2 or 3,” he said.

Screening mammography to check for cancer in a woman who is asymptomatic is recommended every one-two years for women once they reach 40 years, and every year once they turn 50. In India especially in rural areas, regular clinical examination and mammography is not feasible due to shortage of skilled clinicians, lack of X-ray machines and prohibitory costs. According to the WHO’s latest World Health Statistics (WHS), less than 5% Indian women, aged 50-69 , underwent screening by mammography between 2000 and 2003. WHO says there is significant evidence to show that mammography screening among women in this age group reduces mortality by 15% to 25%. Garg’s study also showed that 71% women had no clue about mammography.

Dr Geeta Pandya of Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai said that often, women feel awkward about approaching doctors for breast examinations. “Another factor is the inherent fear that she may have cancer, and so she avoids going for a check-up .”

10 Golden Lessons From “ Steve Jobs ”

All the ideas and brainstorming in the world can’t help you if you don’t take action and do something about them.

““I think we’re having fun. I think our customers really like our products. And we’re always trying to do better.”

– Steve Jobs

His accomplishments and character helped define a generation and change the world. He is co-founder of the fairytale company we now know as Apple Computers. And he is the visionary of the personal computers world that led the entire computer hardware and software industry to restructure itself. This man with boundless energy and charisma is also a master of hype, hyperbole and the catchy phrase. And even when he’s trying to talk normally, brilliant verbiage comes tumbling out. Here’s a selection of some of the most insanely great things he said, golden lessons to help you succeed in life, Jobs-style:

1. Steve Jobs said: “Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.”

Innovation has no limits. The only limit is your imagination. It’s time for you to begin thinking out of the box. If you are involved in a growing industry, think of ways to become more efficient; more customer friendly; and easier to do business with. If you are involved in a shrinking industry – get out of it quick and change before you become obsolete; out of work; or out of business. And remember that procrastination is not an option here. Start innovating now!

2. Steve Jobs said: “Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.”

There is no shortcut to excellence. You will have to make the commitment to make excellence your priority. Use your talents, abilities, and skills in the best way possible and get ahead of others by giving that little extra. Live by a higher standard and pay attention to the details that really do make the difference. Excellence is not difficult – simply decide right now to give it your best shot – and you will be amazed with what life gives you back.

3. Steve Jobs said: “The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

I’ve got it down to four words: “Do what you love.” Seek out an occupation that gives you a sense of meaning, direction and satisfaction in life. Having a sense of purpose and striving towards goals gives life meaning, direction and satisfaction. It not only contributes to health and longevity, but also makes you feel better in difficult times. Do you jump out of bed on Monday mornings and look forward to the work week? If the answer is ‘no’ keep looking, you’ll know when you find it.

4. Steve Jobs said: “You know, we don’t grow most of the food we eat. We wear clothes other people make. We speak a language that other people developed. We use a mathematics that other people evolved… I mean, we’re constantly taking things. It’s a wonderful, ecstatic feeling to create something that puts it back in the pool of human experience and knowledge.”

Live in a way that is ethically responsible. Try to make a difference in this world and contribute to the higher good. You’ll find it gives more meaning to your life and it’s a great antidote to boredom. There is always so much to be done. And talk to others about what you are doing. Don’t preach or be self-righteous, or fanatical about it, that just puts people off, but at the same time, don’t be shy about setting an example, and use opportunities that arise to let others know what you are doing.

5. Steve Jobs said: “There’s a phrase in Buddhism, ‘Beginner’s mind.’ It’s wonderful to have a beginner’s mind.”

It is the kind of mind that can see things as they are, which step by step and in a flash can realize the original nature of everything. Beginner’s mind is Zen practice in action. It is the mind that is innocent of preconceptions and expectations, judgments and prejudices. Think of beginner’s mind as the mind that faces life like a small child, full of curiosity and wonder and amazement.

6. Steve Jobs said: “We think basically you watch television to turn your brain off, and you work on your computer when you want to turn your brain on.”

Reams of academic studies over the decades have amply confirmed television’s pernicious mental and moral influences. And most TV watchers know that their habit is mind-numbing and wasteful, but still spend most of their time in front of that box. So turn your TV off and save some brain cells. But be cautious, you can turn your brain off by using a computer also. Try and have an intelligent conversation with someone who plays first person shooters for 8 hours a day. Or auto race games, or role-playing games.

7. Steve Jobs said: “I’m the only person I know that’s lost a quarter of a billion dollars in one year…. It’s very character-building.”

Don’t equate making mistakes with being a mistake. There is no such thing as a successful person who has not failed or made mistakes, there are successful people who made mistakes and changed their lives or performance in response to them, and so got it right the next time. They viewed mistakes as warnings rather than signs of hopeless inadequacy. Never making a mistake means never living life to the full.

8. Steve Jobs said: “I would trade all of my technology for an afternoon with Socrates.”

Over the last decade, numerous books featuring lessons from historical figures have appeared on the shelves of bookstores around the world. And Socrates stands with Leonardo da Vinci, Nicholas Copernicus, Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein as a beacon of inspiration for independent thinkers. But he came first. Cicero said of Socrates that, “He called philosophy down from the skies and into the lives of men.” So use Socrates’ principles in your life, your work, your learning, and your relationships. It’s not about Socrates, it’s really about you, and how you can bring more truth, beauty and goodness into your life everyday.

9. Steve Jobs said: “We’re here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise why else even be here?”

Did you know that you have big things to accomplish in life? And did you know that those big things are getting rather dusty while you pour yourself another cup of coffee, and decide to mull things over rather than do them? We were all born with a gift to give in life, one which informs all of our desires, interests, passions and curiosities. This gift is, in fact, our purpose. And you don’t need permission to decide your own purpose. No boss, teacher, parent, priest or other authority can decide this for you. Just find that unique purpose.

10. Steve Jobs said: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Are you tired of living someone else’s dream? No doubt, its your life and you have every right to spend it in your own individual way without any hurdles or barriers from others. Give yourself a chance to nurture your creative qualities in a fear-free and pressure-free climate. Live a life that YOU choose and be your own boss.

Each lesson might be difficult to integrate into your life at first, but if you ease your way into each lesson, one at a time, you’ll notice an immediate improvement in your overall performance. So go ahead, give them a try.

Lateral Thinking

Many years ago in a small Indian village, a farmer had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender. The Moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer’s beautiful Daughter. So he proposed a bargain.

He said he would forgo the farmer’s debt if he could marry his Daughter. Both the farmer and his daughter were horrified by the Proposal.

So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let Providence decide the matter. He told them that he would put a black Pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag. Then the girl would have to pick one pebble from the bag.

1) If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father’s debt would be forgiven.

2) If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father’s debt would still be forgiven.

3) But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be
thrown into Jail.

They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the farmer’s field. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two Black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick a pebble from the bag.

Careful analysis would produce three possibilities:

1.The girl should refuse to take a pebble.

2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag and expose the money-lender as a cheat.

3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment.

Take a moment to ponder over the story. The above story is used with the hope that it will make us appreciate the difference between lateral and logical thinking.

The girl’s dilemma cannot be solved with Traditional logical thinking. Think of the consequences if she chooses the above logical answers. What would you recommend to the Girl to do?

STOP!. DECIDE BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER

Well, here is what she did….

The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without Looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles.

“Oh, how clumsy of me,” she said. “But never mind, if you look
into the Bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which
pebble I picked.”

Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one. And since the money-lender dared not admit his dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into an extremely advantageous one.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Most complex problems do have a solution. It is only that we don’t attempt to think!

Anxiety Sometimes Mistaken for Something Else

Author: Zinn Jeremiah
A frequently seen trait in anxiety attacks is the notion that some serious health problem is at hand.

tea tree has been used for a variety of reason including: athletes foot, cold and flu, oral thrush, cold sores & canker sores, tooth ache & gum infections, ringworm, candida, head lice or louse, gum problems, mosquito bites, bug repellent, deter flees, mouth ulcers, herpes, cuts, abrasions, after shave, sunburn, anorectal or vaginal yeast infections, unwanted body odors, acne, toe nail infections, and many other uses.

The active ingredients of Melaleuca alternifolia (or Tea Tree) oil are terpinen and cineole. A person having an anxiety or panic attack is quite likely to believe they’re near death, or that they’ll soon be incapacitated, and will often desperately seek out medical treatment as a result. Terpinen is the ingredient responsible for the healing properties. A person having an anxiety attack is also liable to become angry at any suggestion that they’re not seriously unwell.

It’s not entirely unreasonable that someone having an anxiety attack would believe they’re in the midst of a serious health crisis. Cineole contributes the disinfectant properties. There is some overlap between the symptoms of an anxiety attack and the symptoms of some serious health conditions. In large amounts, cineole is caustic to human tissue. Symptoms of an anxiety attack can be similar to heart attack symptoms, for instance. In order to obtain the best results from using tea tree oil, the percentage of terpinen must be between 35 and 60 percent, and the percentage of cineole must be below ten percent to ensure skin safety during usage.

Tea tree oil is also effective as an additional treatment for colds, bronchitis, whooping cough and pneumonia. Some of the symptoms of a heart attack are chest tightness and tingling in the extremities. Adding it to a vaporizer and inhaling the fumes helps to kill germs that infect the sinuses and lungs. During an anxiety attack, a person’s chest can feel tight, and their extremities can feel numb and tingly.

A person suffering a stroke can feel a sense of disorientation and can have balance difficulty. Similar to eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil also opens clogged respiratory passages.

Skin problems, wounds, worm bites and stings, and ringworm can all be treated by applying this oil from Melaleuca tree. During an anxiety attack, it’s not uncommon for a person to feel disoriented and dizzy, and to feel unstable on their feet. It is a known antifungal broker, and efficient in vitro against dual dermatophytes establish on the rind and is used in medically used esthetic products. The obvious reality is that a stroke is a stroke and a heart attack is a heart attack, and an anxiety attack isn’t either one. It is sometimes recommended for warts, which are caused by viruses. There is mix up between anxiety attacks and heart attacks and anxiety attacks and stroke however. It too treats and soothes acne, burns, hemorrhoids but you can merely take the vital oil to handle blemishes. At any given moment, there is someone in an emergency room somewhere who is having an anxiety attack and nothing more, but who believes they’re having a heart attack or stroke or both.

One method for determining whether symptoms are actually an anxiety attack is to consider what was happening before symptoms began. It can too be used to handle damaged hair and works as an expectorant when inhaled and has a calming consequence but should not be taken internally.

Tea tree oil is an excellent insect repellent and can be used to repel ticks and soothe sunburns by reducing inflammation. If symptoms followed a sense of apprehension or feeling agitated, then an anxiety attack may be what’s actually going on. Applying the oil to insect bites reduces swelling and disinfects the area.

Tea tree oil is a very useful method of controlling acne. A person can additionally consider their own physical background. You can add a few drops of the oil to warm water as a final natural antiseptic facial rinse. It’s highly unlikely that someone in their twenties or thirties is going to have a heart attack or stroke, unless they are severely overweight or have been using narcotics. Similarly, your hair can be cleaned with a spoonful of tea tree oil in warm water to control lice. On the other hand, someone who’s in their fifties or older who isn’t in good physical condition should consider chest pains or disorientation to be a potentially serious matter.

As a general rule, it’s a good idea to have irregular physical symptoms checked out. Tea tree oil is an effective remedy for fungal infections such as ringworm.

Tea Tree Oil is used in so many products and has so many uses it is hard to list them all. What is not healthy however is to be physically cleared yet continue to seek medical care because of perceived symptoms. Some of the most common products containing tea tree oil are: Antibacterial Soaps Tea tree oil was proved to be a germicidal therefore it kills the bacteria on hands and other body parts that are washed in soaps that contain this product. The person who thinks himself or herself ill in the face of direct evidence to the contrary is displaying classic symptoms of anxiety or some other emotional disorder.
